How do I reset a tripped breaker?

A tripped breaker is a fairly common electrical issue and one that can easily be fixed on your own. First, find your circuit breaker panel and locate the tripped breaker. The tripped one will be switched to “off” and not aligned with the other breakers. Carefully reset the breaker back to “on” – if you hear a clicking noise then it is in its proper position.

If the electricity does not come back on or if you have continued problems with the breaker tripping, call us today for an electric panel diagnostic appointment.

What do I do if my breaker continuously trips?

If the same breaker continues to tip, call Electrical Solutions of Central Arkansas (ESCA) for an electrical inspection. It may be as simple as having too many appliances plugged into the same circuit. Or, it could be a more serious electrical issue that needs a professional diagnosis and plan of action.

My breaker panel is hot to the touch. Is that a problem?
Yes. This means your breaker is overheating and needs to be replaced immediately. You will definitely want to call us.

Why do my lights keep flickering?

A flickering light bulb may be something as simple as the light bulb going bad or it could be the first sign of an electrical problem. If you’ve replaced the bulb a few times, but still seeming the same problem, call Electrical Solutions of Central Arkansas (ESCA) today for an inspection.

Can I or should I attempt an electrical repair on my own?

No, that is definitely not recommended. Unless you are a licensed electrician you should never attempt your own repairs no matter how many DIY videos you watch. Electricity is extremely dangerous. Attempting repairs on your own can lead to serious injury and as well as costly damages you will have to pay a professional electrician to repair.

How do I know if an outlet needs to be repaired or replaced?

Damaged outlets are a hazard to your home or office and should be replaced or repaired immediately. A few signs to tell if your outlets are damaged include buzzing sound when appliances plugged in, sparking, burn marks or wires are loose inside the outlet. Outlets displaying these types of damages are a fire hazard. Call Electrical Solutions of Central Arkansas (ESCA) immediately to schedule a replacement service.

How do I know if my home is properly grounded?

The easiest way to know for sure is to have a licensed electrician perform a professional grounding test. Electrical Solutions of Central Arkansas uses specialized equipment to measure the resistance between your electrical system and the earth, ensuring your home meets current safety codes. How often should I get an electrical inspection?

A full home or building inspection by a professional electrician should be done every 5 years. This will ensure your panel and wiring can support the electric load running to them, or if you will need a panel upgrade. We willl also check for wire damages, blown fuses and more.

Most importantly, anytime you suspect something is wrong with your electrical wiring, call Electrical Solutions of Central Arkansas (ESCA) for an inspection. You can never be too careful when it comes to your home or office’s electrical system.

What outdoor lighting electrical services do you offer?

How can I lower my electric bill?

There are several ways to lower the energy bill in your home or office building, all requiring you to change your day-to-day habits. Some small changes that could impact your bill include: switch to energy-efficient light bulbs, turn off/unplug appliances not in use, program your thermostat to lower when not home, replace appliances 15+ years old, and install timers on outdoor lighting.

As I type this, Dave or David and Richard just left our home and were extremely professional, courteous, and quick. They arrived on time, 7:27AM and left 8:42. I explained to them upon arrival, do what you got to do, but do not let our cats outside. (they were successful on my request) Before payment, Richard walked me through what they did, showed me what they had done and explained why. Ashley, their phone receptionist was pleasant, professional and attentive to my questions and concerns as I made the appointment for their services. I Highly recommend Electrical Solutions for your electrical needs. We will definitely be using them down the road for our fixtures or unforeseen electrical issues. For those who review for pricing, we shelled out $400. There is an additional fee for using a debit/credit card for payment. For payment, they can email or SMS your invoice which is super convenient and efficient. They do take cash, but DO NOT have change. (understandable). Their electricians, not a bank. They removed and installed a few GFCI outlets, ran some tests, checked other outlets throughout our home and answered additional questions I had about fixtures and installation. All and all, great experience with this company!
